E: Mummy, please can we get a telescope so I can look at shooting stars with you one starry night? I would like to see a real shooting star, just once...
Mummy's thoughts on this:
Darling girl, I promise you that together forever we will watch the starry nights; finding those that zoom across the sky, and observing those that simply twinkle.
Oh but how you do not yet realise my girl, that the brightest star of all, is you.
I am linking this post to #Prose4Thought and dedicating it to another bright star, Izzy Dix. Please read her story at the Prose4Thought link up, and then sign the petition against anti-bullying. Thank you.
Short and very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThanks so so much for dedicating this poem to Izzy. She was an amazing bright star – so talented and beautiful – and we miss her very much. Thanks so much for signing and promoting our petition. Together, we can stop bullying. Don't bully. Love instead. #LoveForIzzyDix
ReplyDeleteA pleasure Maddie. I am only too sorry to hear that such a bright beautiful star was made to feel this way, and then to the extent that she ended her life. Don't bully. Love instead. #LoveForIzzyDix
DeleteThis is just beautiful. I was so sad to read the story of that beautiful girl and what happened to her.
ReplyDeleteI know, tragic. Thanks for stopping by Steph.
DeleteAbsolutely beautiful - what an amazing promise to give your daughter x #prose4t
ReplyDeleteNot really, it's the night sky - and who won't be watching that together? ;-)
DeleteHow beautiful Emma. And how terribly, tragically sad x
ReplyDeleteHeartbreakingly so. Thank you Helen x
DeleteSo beautiful, and thank you for dedicating this to Izzy. I am sharing her teachers poem tomorrow - it made me cry so much. Thank you for linking to Prose for Thought lovely x
ReplyDeleteSO sad huh? When I read Izzy's words before linking my piece up, it seemed the only thing to do. Bless her and all she left behind. x
