It's always a bit of a gamble when you set off to work wearing a brand new pair of shoes isn't it? But that's what I did. Because you see that morning, I woke to blue skies and sunshine and a pair of newly delivered Ecco sandals sat winking at me. And as the colour complimented my top perfectly, what else was I supposed to do? Wearing them up to the big smoke and back for review purposes, seemed a logical move. Even if it was a four-hour door to door round trip.
The Intrinsic Toffel leather sandal
was a gorgeous salmon/orange hue that screamed summer fun. I have to say, heading to Camden
for work that morning, I felt anything but - pre-op and carrying a
football fibroid was never going to help. And so, as I began my
weary way to work in new sandals, I wondered how my feet might fare?
Here I am heading in, sat on the tube
having already covered good ground. At this point they are surprisingly
comfortable. By the way, you know I could only take this shot as there was no
one else around right?! So, how did they do throughout, and on the return journey home?
Actually, they fared brilliantly. Not only did the shoes not rub, they were probably the best choice of footwear for my hysterectomy awaiting cumbersome frame: cushioned, light weight and flexible.
VERDICT
Let's face it, by look alone these
Danish designed shoes are destined for the beach. But I have to say after road
testing the good quality gear, I am delighted to report that they
remained comfortable in the city all day long. And after a full day in London
put through their paces, I don't think I really have to say anymore than that.
For work or play, the Intrinsic Toffel sandal by ECCO, are quite honestly a brilliant buy to be had.
