LITTLE LONDON - a book review

DETAILS
TITLE: LITTLE LONDON Child-friendly days out and fun things to do
AUTHORS: Sunshine Jackson & Kate Hodges
PUBLISHED BY: Virgin Books
PRICE: £12.99
AVAILABLE FROM: All good book shops & online
IDEAL FOR: Families with children of all ages

Want to experience London like a Londoner? To be aware of the big smoke's little gritty details that you would otherwise miss? Such as knowing to spot peregrines on the rooftop at Tate Modern? Or that you can build sandcastles at Chalk Farm's Roundhouse beach? If so, then this book's for you...

POSITIVE THINKING:
The neat design and cool art work within.
That this book is suitable for families all over the UK - and the world.
That it also includes things to do that are FREE.
That it also contains cookery and art ideas to do with the children at home.
And particularly, that this book is grouped into monthly sections, making it easy to see exactly what's on for when you are looking to travel to London.

KEEP IN MIND:
The only negative I can come up with is that the authors have not compiled books for all other cities... yet.

LIFE AS IT IS BLOG - THE VERDICT:
We all love taking the kids to London on a great day out, but aren't we all so tired of the queues that now exist for places such as The Natural History Museum? Trouble is, not many of us know where else to turn to in town that is free as well as fun? Hey presto, why not get this book and change all that. It is really well put together, although frankly, anyone with a name like Sunshine that writes a book, is bound to come up with the goods.

Emma Oliver and the GraceFaith blog girls received a copy of 'Little London' in exchange for a review on the parenting/lifestyle blog LIFE AS IT IS, and a mention in her feature - 'Ten Great Ways to spend Summer days' out in the upcoming issue of Baby London Magazine, May 2014.
