LEGO Mixels Series 4 - A review

New from Lego...

When Lego recently asked Life As It Is to trial their Mixels series 4, the GraceFaith girls (and their cousins) were only to happy to help...

I recently took several bags of Mixels with us to a family lunch gathering, giving them to all the children as something to keep them busy while they were waiting for food. The response from the cousins, ages 4 and up, was hugely positive, but hey, who doesn't like the Danish brick brand? Since it's invention in 1958, to this day it remains so popular, that on average, every person on the earth, happens to own 86 LEGO bricks. Fact.

So what are Mixels? They are a colourful collection of lego creatures to collect, build, mix and match. And as my entire family found out, not only fun for the children!

Made up of the basic building blocks of LEGO matter, there are a total of three Mixel tribes per series, each with three members. This, the fourth series, consists of the Orbitons, Infernites, and Glowkies – each with their own specific builds and special powers. Glowkies for example, have pieces which glow in the dark - making them a most popular pick. Meet three of the recent fun series that are space and underground themed:

LIFE AS IT IS LOVES
Each Mixel pack has over 70 pieces of lego in it, so at £3 per pack, I think they're great value.

Mixels would make ideal party gifts to hand out instead of a party bag, and would be super stocking fillers.

They are good for all areas of development: social, intellectual, physical (fine motor skills and hand eye co-ordination), imaginary play, and of course for keeping children occupied.

An all-round thoroughly entertaining product. Gotta love LEGO!

Emma Oliver and the GraceFaith girls received a selection of Mixels in exchange for a review on the parenting/lifestyle blog LIFE AS IT IS.
