Autumn Winter Trends 2015 MUCK BOOTS - A review

Last week we started building an extension, and our once garden just outside the front door is fast approaching mud slide status as the rain arrived this week. However, these gorgeous Muckboot wellies also arrived this week - how is that for good timing?

Tagged as the welly boot that doesn't need a sock, the new Breezy Tall Insulated Rain Boot keeps you comfortable, warm and dry in the 'muckiest' of weather

According to the Muck Boot brand, this company is, and I quote:
Proud to manufacture reliable, durable boots that work anytime, anywhere in the toughest conditions. With the aim to keep feet dry, warm and comfortable in any situation, Muck Boots use a multitude of unique technologies to provide versatile boots.
Let me explain the unique technologies...

The best thing about these wellies is their USP: They are fully insulated with 3mm neoprene - the stuff they make wet suits from - an aerated rubber, that is resistant to oil, heat and weathering, which, used as footwear, provides warmth, comfort and waterproofing. All the ingredients needed to produce a wellington boot the likes of which is frankly outstanding in its field. Its muddy field. (It's not named Muck Boot for nothing).

I worried that my feet might actually be too hot and sweat within the neoprene? But not at all, these boots are actually equipped with a PK mesh lining to enable your feet to breathe. This is a woven polyester honeycomb mesh used to keep sweat away from the skin.

They also have a clever insert, an etc ® sock liner which helps to reduce friction, and prevents the build up of heat around your foot, and okay, also goes a long way in helping me personally attempt to wear these boots without socks!

The EVA midsole is something the team boasts will cushion every step. I have to say the boots are super comfy to the point of springy. The EVA outsole, makes them extremely lightweight and provides maximum traction and support too, so they are sturdy and safe. Indeed, Muck Boots are certified with CSA regulations and comply with European laws and requirements applicable to health and safety products.

The last thing to say is that although a sturdy boot, they remain stylish. They have a stretch-fit top that keeps the cold out but which also adds to the look. Meanwhile, I love the colour and gingham design of these Women's Breezy Tall. Incidentally, there are all manner of boots available to suit all outdoor needs, and it is well worth taking the time to check out the brand's website. The lifestyle shots are fantastic!

Really rather unique, fundamentally, Muck Boots are lightweight, comfortable, warm, waterproof, breathable, stylish and colourful. It doesn't get better than that. Except that they are easy to clean, and they are clever; a neoprene manufactured wellington boot allowing feet to breathe... that was unexpected. But then the Muckboot welly is like no other. Wellies where you need not wear a sock? (Actually, it's all true, you can throw socks away which saves on washing I suppose)! I love these boots. A long lasting fashion statement which all at once begs to be bog bound. Brilliant.
