Your child can EXPLORE LEARNING for free this Easter hols

Did you know there are FREE Creative Writing and Maths Workshops over Easter at Explore Learning?

Parents looking for ways to entertain their children this Easter can sign up to any number of creative writing and maths workshops taking place at Explore Learning centres across the country.

The top tuition provider will be hosting free workshops on Tuesday 31st March and Tuesday 14th April – with the focus being on having fun with phonics, creative writing, number crunching and how to write using comedy.

Sessions are for children aged five to 14 and all non-members are welcome to come along and enjoy the maths and writing workshops completely free of charge.

Running from either 10am until 5 or 12pm until 6 depending on the location, workshops include:

- Fun with Phonics: a memorable hour of fun and phonetic games – the perfect chance to practice decoding new words and using phonic knowledge before the phonics screener in June – for children aged 5-6.

- Number Bonds: improve your number bond skills as this workshop uses the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction to solve missing number problems – for children aged 6-7.

- National Young Writers: a creative writing workshop for budding young writers keen to find out tips and techniques, inspired by the theme ‘Strange Events & Peculiar Happenings’ - for children aged 7-11.

- Reigning Romans: gather your armies for a number crunching workshop to learn how to solve addition and subtraction problems using Roman numerals – for children aged 8-10.

- Humorous Language: a hilarious workshop that focuses on humour as a literary technique, teaching children how to use comic effect in jokes and puns – for children aged 11-14.

- Tailored session: throughout the day parents can book in a free tailored session where tutors meet with children one-to-one to assess how tuition can help them – for children aged 5-14.

Carey Ann Dodah, Head of Curriculum at Explore Learning says: “Parents will rack their brains for fun and affordable activities to do over the Easter holidays so we hope that we can offer families who’ve never been to see us before a place to bring their children where they know they are having fun while learning something new!  Our aim is to encourage children to love English and maths and to help build their confidence in class – while parents get the reassurance that their children are paying a bit of attention to their studies over the school holidays.”

Explore Learning is one of the country’s leading tuition providers, teaching English and maths tuition to children aged five to 14 in their 110 centres across the UK.

Workshops are very popular so parents keen to book a slot for their child must do so in advance.  Check out www.explorelearning.co.uk for your nearest centre.
