NELSONS Rosehip oil - A glowing report - A review (3)

NELSONS Rosehip oil - A glowing report

A few weeks back HRH Kate, happened to admit to the press that she uses Rosehip oil, which apparently has the power to reduce wrinkles and turn you into a princess.

Obviously, I was more than happy to put this to the test on behalf of Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy Skincare Range.

I did my research - i.e. tried it for a week, and loved it. I applied a few drops in the morning after cleansing my face, rubbing it in gently to the wrinkly laughter lined areas.

Pure Rosehip Oil from Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy Skincare Range (see image below for other products in this range)
MADE FROM: 100% pure Rosehip Oil, cold pressed to create the highest grade Rosehip Oil

PRICE: £11.

Derived from the wild rose bushes that grow high in the Chilean Andes, where the altitude and pollutant-free environment produce the highest quality rosehips, not only is Rosehip oil rich in vitamin C and high in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, known to heal scar tissue, it’s also a great source of retinoic acid, which studies show reduces the appearance of wrinkles and brightens skin. All good in theory, but how did it go when it was put to the test?

VERDICT FROM ME
Before I was a mum, I remember... the sun I worshipped, the fags I smoked, the vodka I consumed, and the nights I partied hard.

Then I studied journalism and got a job. Before long:
Job + deadlines + some more of the above = groovy lines.

Now I'm a mum and I live a mums life: Waking up at the crack, often before. And then a few times more. Whether it be one of the children experiencing a nightmare, a wet bed, feeling sick, or simply wanting a mummy cuddle, there are defining moments throughout my life as a parent, which have undoubtedly added to my wrinkles. Take the furrowed brow instance: Each time you notice a further fresh pile of crap strewn about your home. Oh and the times the children make you laugh out loud. Not to mention the insomnia in pregnancy, the night waking and feeding shifts - all slowly but surely sketching and etching your personal parenting story on your face; adding to the ageing process.

Ten days ago I began using this oil. I will not be stopping. I can honestly see a difference in my skin. My face is clearer, feels softer and looks brighter. I really love this product and I recommend every other former hardcore party addict turned harassed and harangued mother, also have it in their bathroom cabinet. Don't believe me? Then hear from two other mums that have trialled it for me and LIFE AS IT IS over the last week.

VERDICT FROM MUM ONE
Mum of two and childminder Karen, 40 from Worcester Park, Surrey, says:It's great. I have been using it once a day for 4 days and my skin feels so much softer. Not much change in wrinkles yet that I can see but skin does feel smoother. Feels quite warming putting it on and I thought it would feel greasy but it's not. I did have a comment this morning from someone saying you look glowing! Not sure if it's coincidence or because of the oil. I will carry on using it in the hope of looking 10 years younger rather than 10 years older!
VERDICT FROM MUM TWO
Mum of two and Education professional and all time funny lady from Cheam, Surrey, Sally says:I got it on tuesday, beautifully packaged - very exciting! I used it that night at bedtime - i was a bit worried about the greasiness of it but it soaked/rubbed in really nicely. Same each night since. I haven't noticed a difference in the look of my skin yet but it definitely feels smoother and softer. Will keep you posted...
4 days laterI'm definitely rosy, I was asked today at playgroup if I was wearing blusher! I haven't noticed a difference in my wrinkles yet but wish i'd taken photos from the start (have done now) so will keep a record for myself. My skin feels a lot softer too. I had a usual monthly spot outbreak last week so it was a bit weird putting oil on but i think they all cleared up quicker. Xxx
LIFE AS IT IS LOVES
The claims appear to be true and this does work. You will glow. You will become a princess.

Ahhh hon I can relate to so much of this! I've always been complimented on my youthful looks, but somewhere amid the *severe* sleep deprivation (I'd generously say I got four broken hours last night which has become the norm in my house) my eyes have taken the brunt. I use argan oil in place of moisturiser and love it. I'll be buying myself some rosehip oil at the next opportunity! Thanks lovely xx
